The Friends of the Community Path are a group of
citizens in Somerville and greater Boston who are
advocating to extend this well-loved Somerville path 2.5
miles from its current ending at Cedar Street in Somerville to the
Charles River paths.
ACTION
ALERT! - PLEASE
WRITE TO SEC. BOWLES OF ENVIRON. AFFAIRS
The Community Path needs to be fully funded to be
built as part of the coming Green Line Extension, the only practical
way it can be constructed. Please consider sending in comments by
July 23. See links: why,
suggested letter (add personal
comments) background
and research).
 "To the Charles River... and
beyond!!"
|
The proposed route will
follow the route of the existing Lowell line railroad
tracks and the Green Line extension, linking the Minuteman
Bikeway/Linear Park (the most-used rail trail in the
USA) to the Charles River Paths!
Sound good? Paths like this happen only with community
support, so we need you! more...
